Short description Build a simple meter for measuring air humidity
Instructions Take a pine cone and place a straw between the scales. Fix the straw to the cone with glue. Put a piece of paper on the wall, and place the cone next to it. Write dry and humid on the paper. The straw will be pointing upwards when the air is humid and the pine cone is closing. When the air is dry, the cone will open up so as to spread its seeds, and the straw will be lowered. Make a small dot on the paper every day and note the date along with it, to follow the change in humidity over time.
